The Sunshine Coast will host the 2023 AFL Masters National Carnival, the 40th staging of the annual event and the first time the region has held the event since 2011.

Important Details
When: Sunday, 1 October 2023 – Saturday, 7 October 2023
Where: Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Matches at Maroochydore Multi Sports Complex
Who: In excess of 1200 players and 1500 participants from all eight Australian states and territories.
Estimated economic impact: More than $4 million, with 60% visitation expected by participants.

Registration information will be released throughout the year.

Over 60 teams across seven age brackets will descend on Maroochydore in October next year to vie for the title of becoming AFL Masters National Champions. AFL Masters is open to both male and female players aged 35 and over, with women’s Masters being the largest growth area of the sport.
